In April 2023, at the end of a tumultuous production road, we presented Waiting for Godot.

“There’s man all over for you, blaming on his boots the faults of his feet.”
– Vladimir
The team was faced with some controversy, and their subverted plans to find a venue for their rendition led them to Podium Verwondering, a truly unique stage on the water in Groningen. This opportunity sparked the start of a series of successful performances.
“The tears of the world are a constant quantity. For each one who begins to weep somewhere else another stops.”
– Pozzo
After selling out three shows in Podium Verwondering, the group decided to leverage their acclamation and set up two subsequent performances, sold out once again, at Der Aa Theater.

The crew would then venture to yet another sold out show in Amsterdam, at the wonderful Badhuis Theater.

Our version of Waiting for Godot focused the eye with its barren palette and its symbolic set, it focused the ear with its silences and its bickering, it disrupted the somber resting state of our audience. We curated a musical motif before and after the play itself, meaning to prime and excite the viewers with the knowledge that this experience was not going to be the same as their last time at the theater.
This project and its success have been the ember at the core of Noordhaus, and represents our first step in the shaping of our creative identity,
